I was looking for a machine that is straightforward and RELIABLE. This machine is both. I’ve even used this in place of another sewing machine for seam finishing. I no longer need to waste time fiddling with and rethreading my serger and dealing with snapping threads. This sewing machine creates a professional-looking seam finish and even straight stitches. The touch-button sewing and automatic thread cutter are also a plus. You can’t go wrong with this machine. The push-button operation, as opposed to a foot pedal, is brilliant. I have an older version of this model, but the extra stitches and the thread cutter have made this purchase worthwhile. This Janome is great and my friends also say it’s great.
